Finally have a working title for the primary work in progress, The Invention of Motherhood.

The main protagonist is once again Graciela Juarez di Scimtar, aka Grace. That said, it is separated by enough both by events and by focus from the first four Grace books that it is more the beginning of a new series rather than a continuance of the first four.

I'm also doing preliminary plotting on a third Preparations for War book. When I need mental breaks, I'm working on a fantasy tentatively titled The Gates to Faerie, and another book that's difficult to describe except that it is a riff somewhere between Michael Moorcock's Tanelorn, Roger Zelazny's Amber, and the shared world anthologies of Sanctuary edited by Robert Lynn Aspirin, and the main character is an exile from a pre-Interregnum Empire of Humanity.
